I may NEVER go back to the gym! This quarantine has encouraged me to finally embrace home workouts. If you know me then you realize how HUGE of a statement this is. I have always turned every workout facility into a community. Back in the 00’s, I was the major of Equinox West Hollywood. This quarantine has made me utilize my home like never before to help me thrive. I struggle with anxiety and the daily workouts have been a godsend to my productivity and mental clarity, BONUS I’m getting my body back in shape! I’m sharing the home workouts giving me life during this quarantine.


I’ve really been loving the strength training and circuits from @theaktstudios. AKT is a unique combination of toning, interval, circuit and dance-based workouts.  My favorite classes are the 4×4 and toning. Before I could walk, I could dance. Most of my fondest memories from childhood or my party days were from dancing like a Fly girl. I was living like Miss Chataigne if ya nasty. Thanks, Janet. Need motivation? Grab a friend, roomie or in my case, my husband! It has been a godsend sweating with my husband to keep me accountable. Just three days a week, we get together and do Tabata Circuits. All you need is your body weight, wine bottles or 5-lb weights. It’s done in 40 mins. We do 12 exercises, 3-4 rounds. The timing is 40 seconds on and 20 seconds rest. It’s really easy using the Tabata App.
